Leadership Growth Starts with Maturity
Doing the work isn't about becoming someone different. It's about expanding your capacity to lead, coach, and navigate complexity with greater awareness and intention.
Most leadership development focuses on what you do. Maturity work explores how you make meaning; the perspective that shapes every decision, relationship, and challenge you encounter. Whether you're leading an organization or supporting the growth of others, maturity creates the foundation for lasting transformation.
Why Maturity Matters
40% of participants in a longitudinal Enneagram study advanced one or more developmental stages after engaging in 40–50 hours of intensive Enneagram development work over 18 months.
The challenges that limit experienced leaders and seasoned coaches are rarely a lack of intelligence, skill, or experience.
More often, they stem from the way we interpret complexity, navigate uncertainty, relate to others, and make sense of the world around us.
There comes a point where adding another tool, model, or communication technique no longer creates meaningful growth.
Instead, growth comes from expanding the perspective from which we lead and coach.
This is the work of maturity.

Leadership Doesn't Become Easier. You Become More Capable.
Leadership development and maturity levels predict 360-degree leadership performance, even beyond personality traits alone.

Traditional leadership development teaches skills.

What is Aephoria Maturity?
Aephoria Maturity uses 15 sentence stems that a participant completes using free text, allowing them to express and explore their unique worldview from a developmental perspective. Designed to shed light on an individual’s inner world, these prompts encourage open-ended responses without predefined right or wrong answers.
Rather than asking Who are you?, it explores: How do you currently experience the world?
Each response undergoes meticulous evaluation by cutting-edge machine-learning technology alongside a trained human marker. These trained specialists utilise the Aephoria Sentence Completion Guide (SCG), a comprehensive resource modelled after renowned research tools like the WUSCT and STAGES model.
Aephoria Maturity is the brainchild of Lucille Greeff, Dr. Julia Kukard, and Dr. Simon Kettleborough globally supported by a wise team of experts in the domains of psychology, leadership, coaching, and organisational development.
Together, the professional experience of the three founders exceeds 80 years.
Aephoria distinguishes itself with its rigorous academic foundation.
Maturity for Coaches
Expand Your Capacity to Develop Others
Many coaches use the Enneagram to help clients understand their patterns.
Maturity work adds another dimension.
Instead of focusing only on what clients do, maturity helps illuminate how they make meaning, allowing coaches to better understand what clients are truly ready for and where developmental growth can occur.
Whether you're an executive coach, leadership coach, team coach, or coach supervisor, integrating maturity into your practice creates richer coaching conversations and deeper, more sustainable transformation.
In a global survey of 796 leaders, coaches, and consultants across 49 countries, participants reported:
83% said the Enneagram improved their personal development
81% reported greater compassion for others
78% reported stronger leadership communication
71% reported improved leadership effectiveness
